Obituary of Billie Brannigan

Billie J. Brannigan-Schenectady Billie J. Brannigan, 81, of Michigan Ave., died Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Ellis, peacefully with her family by her side. Billie was born on February 24, 1930 in Kalamazoo, MI. She moved to the Schenectady area many years ago and had worked at the Watervliet Arsenal and General Electric as a machine operator. She lived a long and meanighful life as a wife, mother and grandmother. Billie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed playing bingo. She was predeceased by her husband, William Owen Brannigan. He died in 1976. She is survived by two children, Melanie Stockman and Sean Brannigan; four grandchildren, Cassandra, Zack, and soon to be twins and six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jamie, Damien, Lexus, MiShawn and Marquis Jr. She loved many and was loved by many. Billie will be greatly missed. There will be calling hours Friday afternoon 4 to 6 in the evening at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Immediately following will be a celebration of life and birthday gathering at the Eagles, 23 Mariaville Rd., Rotterdam.
