Obituary of William Connelly

Gallatin, TN - William T. Connelly, 79 of Gallatin,TN formerly of Schenectady, died Friday, February 7, 2014. Bill was born in Schenectady, July 26, 1934, the son of Joseph and Anne Brucker Connelly. He was a graduate of Vincentian Institute, Hudson Valley Community College, was a U S Navy veteran and was a Controls Engineer for the General Electric, retiring with 35 years service. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Rossi Connelly, she died in 1980. He is survived by his second wife of 28 years, Wilma Jean Warminski Connelly; four children, Jeff (Sue) Connelly of Schenectady, William (Colleen) Connelly Jr. of Latham, Marge (Jeremiah) Clifford of Hilton and Judy (Chuck) Monson of Schenectady; six siblings, Pat Conway of Portsmouth, RI, Betty Crowley, Paul Connelly both of Schenectady, Ann Greene, Carolyn Mundweiler and Dan Connelly, all of Scotia; and sister-in-law, Delores Connelly; grandchildren, David, Matt and Brendan Connelly, Jay and Dan Clifford; stepgranddaughter, Lexie Monson; stepson, Mike (Lisa) Cognetti; stepdaughter-in-law, Laura Cognetti; stepgrandchildren, Cathy, Amy, Tony, and Brice Cognetti ; stepgreat-granddaughter, Sarah Cognetti; cousins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eight siblings, Alice, Joe Bud, Don, Connie, Jim, Edward Ned, David and Frank; and a stepson, Tom. Funeral service, Thursday morning 11 at St. Anthony's Church (Seward PL. and Nott St., Schenectady) where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours, Wednesday afternoon 4 to 8 in the evening at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment, Friday, 12 noon at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.
