Rotterdam - Donald J. Myers, Sr., 93, of Devendorf Rd., died Sunday, March 2, 2014 comfortably at home. He had been husband to the late Ruth E. Myers. Mr. Myers was born in Saratoga and was raised in Bristol, VT. He graduated from Bristol High School. He enlisted in the Army Air Force and served overseas in WWII before coming to Schenectady, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a longtime member of the National Watch & Clock Association and an avid collector of antique American clocks. In his earlier working career he installed floor covering, later becoming an antiques dealer in the Capital District area. He is survived by two sons, Donald Myers, Jr. (Chip) and Marshall Dufel; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and younger brother, Frederick (Bud) Myers. A memorial service will be held Thursday 6:30 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
