Obituary of Steve Jordan

Charlton - Steve T. Jordan, 89, of Sweetman Road, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at home.
Steve was born and educated in Schenectady, the son of Theodore and Katina Jordan. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in both World War II and Korea, attached to the Marine Corps as a medical corpsman. He was a fireman at the West Milton site and earned his way up the department, retiring as Chief from the Knolls Atomic Power Lab in Niskayuna. He had two books in print based on his experiences in Korea.
Steve was a proud member of the Chosin Few, a volunteer with wood working projects at Adult Education at Linton High School and was an active member of St. George's Greek Orthodox Church.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Oudt. She died in 1998.
Steve is survived by two children, Ted (Diana) Jordan of Corinth and Ellen Jordan of Scotia; two grandchildren, Michael and Kristine Gerber; a great-grandson, Luke; several nieces, nephews, cousins and four-legged companion, Molly.
Funeral service will be held Friday morning at 10:00 at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, with the Trisagion service at 7:30 pm. Interment will be in Park View Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, 105 Clinton St., Schenectady, NY 12305.
