Obituary of Clifford Philpott

Schenectady - Clifford A. Philpott, 88, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Capital Living Nursing Home. He was born in Troy, NY, the son of the late George and Viola Philpott and was a lifelong area resident. Clifford worked as a stereotyper for the Union Star and Schenectady Gazette newspapers and more recently drove bus for CDTA. He and his wife of 35 years, Patricia, loved to visit Cape Cod. In addition to his wife, Clifford is survived by his children, Garry Philpott, Mark Philpott, Deborah (Jerry) Haber and Doreen Wolfersheim; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and other extended family. The funeral service will be Friday 1 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
