Henry 'Hank' J. Rosko, 87, of Sanders Ave., died Monday, May 19, 2014 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. Henry was born in Scranton, PA, the son of Francis and Anna Rosko. He moved to Schenectady in 1954. Henry was a US Navy veteran serving during World War II. At one time he worked at the General Electric Co., later working for the US Postal Service for many years, retiring as supervisor in 1988. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, who was also a sports enthusiast, especially cheering for the Red Sox. He enjoyed golf, bowling and loved to dance. His favorite time spent was being with family and being a friend to all. Henry was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Betty Nosal Rosko, they married in 1954, she died in 1999. Henry is survived by three children, Elizabeth Betty (Karl) Bellinger of Saratoga Springs, Gloria (Dave) Hart of Rotterdam Junction and David (Andrea Oddi) Glastonbury, CT; a brother, Frank Rosko of Schenectady; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Conor Hart; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister, Walter and Rose. Funeral service, Friday morning, 9:15 a.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours, Thursday afternoon 4 to 7 p.m. in the evening at the funeral home. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady, with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund, 225 Lafayette St., Schenectady, NY 12305.
