Obituary of Helen Burns

Rotterdam - Helen M. (Jennings) Burns, born on December 16,1959, died Monday, July 16, 2012 after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Jennings and Jennine (Ackerson) Jennings.
Helen is survived by her four daughters and three son-in-laws, who she adopted as sons: Rebecca (Terry) Townsend of Schenectady, Jessica (Steven) Walker of Gallupville, Jamie (Bill) Bonner of Sharon Springs and Jennifer Burns of Cobleskill; one son, Joshua (Geri) Burns of Warnerville. She is also survived by two brothers: Tom "Coop" and Kathy Cooper of Livingston and Paul (Sherron) Lambert of Mariaville; one sister, Milly (Doug) Merwin of Davenport, six grandsons, three granddaughters, several nieces and nephews. Helen also leaves behind, two companions of the last 20 years, Bruce Mason, Sr. of Gallupville and Dave Fetter of Rotterdam. She was predeceased by her siblings, Theresa and Raymond, Jr. and granddaughter, Sarah.
Her family was her life. She adored her children and grandchildren. Helen was involved for several years with Harley Rendezvous, which became her second family. She was also a member of Trinity Reformed Church of Rotterdam for many years.
The funeral service will be held Friday, 12:00 noon at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service, Friday from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
