Obituary of Margaret Burns

Margaret "Peggy" Burns, 91, formerly of Eastholm Rd., passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, at the Kingsway Arms Nursing Home. Born in Saratoga, Peggy was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and the College of St. Rose. Peggy worked for New York Telephone for a number of years. She was a proud member of the Schenectady chapter of the College of St. Rose Alumni and a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church for over 60 years. Wife of the late John G. Burns, who passed away in 2003. She is survived by a daughter, Colleen Rudinski and her husband, Ted of Schenectady; a sister, Rosemary Feane of Clifton Park; three grandchildren, Larry and his wife, Alfia, Matthew and Michael Rudinski; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday morning, 10:30 from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., and 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Calling hours, Friday evening, 5 to 7 at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the College of St. Rose, J. Raymond Quinn Fund or Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons.
