Margaret "Peggy" Burns, 91, formerly of Eastholm Rd., passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, at the Kingsway Arms Nursing Home. Born in Saratoga, Peggy was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and the College of St. Rose. Peggy worked for New York Telephone for a number of years. She was a proud member of the Schenectady chapter of the College of St. Rose Alumni and a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church for over 60 years. Wife of the late John G. Burns, who passed away in 2003. She is survived by a daughter, Colleen Rudinski and her husband, Ted of Schenectady; a sister, Rosemary Feane of Clifton Park; three grandchildren, Larry and his wife, Alfia, Matthew and Michael Rudinski; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday morning, 10:30 from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., and 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Calling hours, Friday evening, 5 to 7 at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the College of St. Rose, J. Raymond Quinn Fund or Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons. Special thanks to Dick Roy for being Peggy's Eucharistic Minister for over a decade, Community Hospice of Schenectady and Kingsway Manor and Nursing Home staff for their loving care.
