Obituary of Joseph DeLuca

Glenville - Joseph F. DeLuca, Jr., 93, of Tryon Ave., died Saturday, September 13, 2014, at home. Joe was born in Schenectady, the son of Joseph and Virginia DeLuca and was educated in Schenectady schools. He was a U.S. Army, World War II veteran and was awarded a Purple Heart. At one time he worked at the ALCO, later working for the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years, before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Clara Dagastino DeLuca; two sons, Joseph (and the late Charlene) F. DeLuca, III of Schenectady and Paul (Joan) DeLuca of Ballston Lake; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers and sisters, Frank, Andrew, Anthony, Ida and Anna. Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
