Obituary of Ruth Posson

Ruth H. Posson, 88, passed away October 14, 2014, at St. Peter's Hospital after a short illness. Born in Schenectady on September 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Margaret Hauser. Ruth married Robert L. Posson, Sr. in May 1946, and enjoyed 68 years of devoted marriage. Ruth was a lifelong area resident and longtime summer resident of Rubacks Grove on Galway Lake. She was an avid reader and enjoyed swimming, volleyball, and playing cards with her good friends from Rubacks. Ruth was predeceased by a brother, Charles Hauser; and a sister, Margaret Walker. In addition to her loving husband, Robert, she is survived by her two sons, Robert L. Posson Jr. and Paul D. Posson, his wife, Denise; a daughter, Lynn M. DeLuke; and four cherished grandchildren, Robert and Michael DeLuke, and Spencer and Wesley Posson, and his wife, Blair. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Adams of Albuquerque, NM; and 12 nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family, there will be no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Schenectady.
