Schenectady - This is to announce the death of Marilyn (Lynne) Marie Whitaker Fisher, who passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Marilyn was born on April 12, 1937 in Schenectady, New York. She lived on the island of Bermuda for 55 years and will be buried in Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady. Marilyn leaves behind her son, Michael/Sheila; daughter, Melanie/Paul; son, Terry/Angela; daughter, Melinda/Rolf; daughter, Cindy/Steven; and seven grandchildren. She was the Centenary Methodist church organist for 45 years and the Treasurer of the Clothing Mart at Warwick Academy for 45 years. She was the worthy matron of the Eastern Star for two years and the organist for both the Electa and Friendship chapters, which she enjoyed being a member. Lynne was the music chairman for the Bermuda Presbyterian Church and was invited to play for the Presbyterian conference in Canada in the 1970s. She also played for guest performers at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. The funeral will be Tuesday, 1 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. There will be no calling hours.
