Schenectady - Regina Therese Caggianelli, 80, of Frank St., died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Ellis Hospital. Regina was born in Rhinecliff, the daughter of Antonio and Maria Caggianelli. She attended local schools and also took child care courses through the years. She moved to Schenectady many years ago and worked at St. Clare's Hospital as a child care technician in the nursery for 35 years, retiring in 1993. Regina was a communicant of St. Luke's Church. She loved family gatherings and traveling with her dear friends. She was one of 11 children and is survived by three siblings, Augustine and Theodore Caggianelli and Marie Alfano and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Rosemarie Celelli, Madeline Ferri, Anthony, Michael, Edward, Joseph and John Caggianelli. Funeral service Saturday at 11:30 a.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and noon at St. Luke's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment 2:15 at Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hour Friday afternoon 2 to 4 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Church 1241 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304.
