Francis Razewski Obituary

Niskayuna - Francis J. Frank Razewski, 92, died December 2, 2014, at Kingsway Manor Assisted Living. He was born in Schenectady on March 7, 1922, the son of Szymon and Marianna Cackowska Razewski. Frank enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping and was an avid reader. He never met a stranger and will be remembered by family and friends for his sense of humor and kindness. Frank was a lifelong area resident and was a communicant of St. Helen's (St. Kateri Tekakwitha) Church. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Cooley Razewski; three daughters, Carol Anne (Ronald Stillens) of Anchorage, AK, Ellyn Marie (Richard) Vaught of Culpeper, VA and Mary Jean (the late Michael) Bland of Jay, NY; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; two nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by siblings, Jerome, Max, Helen and Stanley. Funeral service Friday morning 11 a.m. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church (Union St.) where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet, 385 Watervliet Rd., Latham, NY 12110 or St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1803 Union St., Niskayuna, NY 12309.
