Obituary of Jeanne Johnson

Jeanne M. Johnson passed away on Wednesday, December 3rd at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Castleton on the Hudson after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Jeanne was born and remained in the tri city area. She was employed by Niagara Mohawk where she worked for 35 years. Jeanne was a loving mother and is survived by her five children, Deborah Durkee (Marie Kaehler), Donald Johnson (Donna Miller Johnson), Denise Daly (Bill Cummings), Dorothy Johnson (Tom Burns), and Dorothy Johnson of Maine. Jeanne was a fun loving grandmother to Robert (Kristen Morehouse) Durkee, Nicholas, Zachary and Andrew Durkee, Danielle (Jay) Corbett, Dana (Joseph) Choiniere, Devan Johnson and Ashley Daly. Jeanne had six greatgrandchildren, Gabriel, Mason and Anabell Durkee, Ayden Corbett, Dominick Catalano and the newest, Hailey Grace Choiniere. Jeanne is survived by her brothers, John (Louise) Allen of Arizona and Joseph (Fran) Foland of Latham; sister-in-law, Marge Paige. Jeanne leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Jeanne will be remembered for her amazing sense of family which she tried to instill in her children. Her fun loving personality, beautiful smile and generosity. Most of all we will remember her for her great parties and Christmas Spirit. It is fit that Jeanne passed into external peace in this holiday season.
