Obituary of Irene Willyoung

Irene Willyoung, 92, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center. Irene was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late John and Maryanna Prusak and was a lifelong resident. She attended Pleasant Valley Elementary School, McKinley Junior High School and Mont Pleasant High School, graduating in 1940. Irene worked for General Electric for 42 years in various departments and also at the Maqua Printing Company, a GE subsidiary. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Ann Hogan; her infant son, Dennis Hogan; first husband, John V. Hogan; and second husband, David Willyoung. She is survived by her sons, Michael J. Hogan and Daniel (Lisa) Hogan; son-in-law, Thomas Isabella; grandchildren, Kaitlin Isabella, Sean Isabella, Mark Hogan and Allison Hogan; sister, Helen (Lou) DeMarzio; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center and most especially the nursing and aide staffs, for their wonderful care. Calling hours will be Friday, 5 to 7 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Funeral services will begin Saturday, 9:15 a.m., from the funeral home, then to St. Luke's Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
