Schenectady - Marjorie L. Quinn, 92, of Baker Ave. died Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Ellis Hospital.
Marge was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Martin and Catherine Frederick and was a graduate of Draper High School. for many years she worked at Dalls Ltd., later working for Dr. Lanka. She was a volunteer at St. Clare's / Catholic Charities Elite Boutique and a community volunteer with several other Schenectady organizations through the years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and always attending every family member's special events. Family was the most important thing in life to her.
She was predeceased by her husband, John J. "Jack" Quinn, who died in 1999.
Marge is survived by six children, Jack (Sally) Quinn, Pam (the late Roger Press,) Dennis (Marcy) Quinn and Mark (Chris) Quinn, Susan (Bart) Pastaglione and twins, Marty (Mary) Quinn and Mark (Chris) Quinn, a sister, Marion Frederick; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-granchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends, Kay, Norine and Mame. She was predeceased by her sisters, Emelia Lasher, Mildred Hannon and Elizabeth Chilla.
Funeral service, Thursday morning 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church (State St.), where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours, Wednesday afternoon, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
Members of St. Elizabeth's Auxilary are requested to be at the funeral home, Wednesday evening at 6:00 for prayer service.
