Schenectady - Marion Frederick, 96, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Ellis Health Center. Marion was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Martin and Catherine (Jeffes) Frederick. She worked as a caregiver to children for many years. Marion loved spending time with her family and enjoyed bingo with her sisters. She was predeceased by her sisters, Emelia Lasher, Mildred Hannon, Elizabeth Chilla and Marge Quinn; and her brothers, Carl and Martin Frederick. Marion is survived by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 600 State St., Schenectady. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016.
