Obituary of Ellen Leslie

Schenectady - Ellen Fleming Leslie, 73, formerly of Parkwood Blvd., died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Ellis Hospital, after a long illness. Ellen was born in Niskayuna, the daughter of Douglas and Glendina Fleming. She was a graduate of So. Colonie High School in 1959. She worked in tourism for American Airlines as a reservation agent, and also worked at various travel agencies for many years. She traveled all over the world many times for work and for pleasure. She is survived by her husband, John Jack Leslie, they married in 1962. Three children, John (Amy) Leslie and Douglas Leslie, all of Richmond, VA and Margaret Maggie (Sean McCluey) Leslie; a brother, Bernard Fleming of Johnsonville; many beloved cousins; and nieces and nephew; and lifelong friends, Glen and Dianne Schermerhorn and Red and Adelaide Johnson. She was predeceased by a brother, James Fleming. Funeral service, Saturday afternoon, 2 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours, Friday evening, 5 to 8 p.m. in the evening at the funeral home. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, at the convenience of the family.
