Albany - Margaret "Peggy" Forbes, 93, died Sunday, February 8, 2015, at the Teresian House. Peggy was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Thomas and Julia Murphy. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and had attended The College of St. Rose. She worked during World War II at the General Electric Co. in the research lab in Schenectady, and while living in Syracuse, worked in the Electronic Park Lab. She retired from the Scotia-Glenville Senior Citzens, where she worked as the coordinator for 10 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl F. Forbes, he died in 1981; and their son, Kevin Forbes, he died in 2014. She is survived by three sons, Paul F. Forbes of Colonie, James (Susan) Forbes of Valley Falls and Peter R. Forbes of North Dakota; and daughter-in-law, Linda; a brother, John E. Murphy of St. Paul, MN; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one nephew; and two nieces. She was also predeceased by two siblings, Thomas R. Murphy and Geraldine Murphy. Funeral service, Monday morning, 11 a.m. at the Teresian House Infant of Prague Chapel, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. There will be no calling hours. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to The Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12203.
