Obituary of William Fennicks

William B. Fennicks Sr., 83, of Schenectady, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 19, 2015. He was born on March 9, 1931 to the late William and Jeanette Fennicks. He was a soldier in the Korean War and a Purple Heart recipient. He was also a dedicated employee of Grand Union, followed by General Electric and lastly, the Schenectady School District where he retired. He is survived by his wife, Cecil Fennicks; and his sister, Lois Fennicks; children, William, Sandra, Angela (predeceased by David); and a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren, and family that truly loved him. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Daly's Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, followed by interment at Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
