Rotterdam - Edward G. Merwin, Jr., 58, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Cobleskill, he was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a chef at various area restaurants. He is survived by his wife, Terry Faboskay Merwin; children, Genesis, Jeremiah and Angie Merwin and Sonya White; sisters, Barbara Lane and Sandy Merwin; also survived by four grandchildren; and a nephew, Donald Lane; and a niece, Tara Lane. Funeral service, Monday evening, 6 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. Visitation will precede the service Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions for funeral expenses may be made to gofundme.com
