Glenville - Clarence "Bud" F. Frederick, Jr. 82 of Saratoga Rd. died Sunday, May 17, 2015, at home, formerly of Westside Dr., Ballston Lake.
Bud was born in Schenectady, the son of Clarence and Ruth Frederick, Sr. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and was a U S Army Korean War veteran. At one time he worked with his father at C.F. Frederick and Son Heating and Plumbing, later working for the Town of Niskayuna as Superintendent of Water, Sewer and Solid Waste, retiring in 1993.
Bud was the former President of the Master Plumbers Association, a member of Plumbers Union Local 105 and attended the Adirondack Waterwork conference. He was a member of the Niskayuna Elks, the 5 and 5 Sporting Club and past treasure; former vice president of the Ballston Lake Improvements Association, the American Legion Post , former member of the St. Francis Benevolent Society and member of the Knights of St. John Commandry 100, a longtime communicant of St. Joseph's Church and Eucharistic Minister.
He is survived by three sons, Michael (Kathleen) Frederick of Niskayuna, Daniel (Kimberly) Frederick of Princetown and Richard (Carla France); his former wife Phyllis Frederick of Schenectady; seven grandchildren Elizabeth, Michael, Hanna, Jessica, Cassandra,, Maria and Rachael; his Uncle Don Frederick; cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Marlene and Virginia Frederick and Joyce McDonald.
Funeral service Thursday morning 8:15 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc. 242 McClellan St. Schenectady and 9:00 at St. Joseph's Church (State St. ) where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated . Calling hours, Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 to 8:00 in the evening at the funeral home. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery Schenectady , with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to City Mission 425 Hamilton St . Schenectady, NY 12305 or St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund 225 Lafayette St. Schenectady, NY 12305.
Members of the Knights of St. John are requested to meet Wednesday evening at 6:00 for a prayer service.
