I left a message on the Schenectady Gazette site, but I wanted to make sure the family viewed it. First of all, condolences to all of you. How blessed you were to have had him for 101 yrs. I don't know any of you, but William's father, Ed was related to my grandmother. Our family always called him uncle Ed. He was friends of my grandparents. In the early 50s, after both had lost their spouses, Ed proposed to my grandmother. I see a strong resemblance between Wm's pic and my memory of uncle Ed. I believe my grandmother and Mary were related. Again, my condolences and blessings to all of you.
