Dear Helm Family, My heart goes out to all of you for the loss of Michael. I only knew Michael through his father, and my very good friend, "Bud" Helm. He accompanied "Bud" on a few canoeing trips with Lew Esch and others of the KAPL Physics Group. It is always difficult when children are taken ahead of their parents. My memory of Michael is that of a rather quiet, well-behaved and intelligent young man. The obituary indicates that he was quite successful in a varied career, and that must be a comfort to all of you. I now live at Kingsway Village independent living apartments in Rotterdam. Edith passed away here almost six years ago, after we returned to Schenectady from our retirement in New Mexico. It would be a pleasure to hear from any of your family.
