Glenville - Elizabeth "Betty" McCormack, 85, formerly of Glenville, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the home of her daughter. Betty was born in Ausable Forks, the daughter of Ruel and Elizabeth Alford. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Through the years she was a hard working mother and had worked at several restaurants in the Schenectady area, although raising her family was her priority. She will be remembered as a loving mother and enjoyed being a Den Mother and attending all of the events in her children's lives. She loved camp activities, Summer and Winter, especially snowmobiling. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling in the RV, exploring the United States with her husband, Don. She was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Barbera, who died in 1957 and Donald B. "Mac" McCormack, who died in 2011. She is survived by five children, Joseph McCormack, of Glenville, Diane (Dan) Walz, of Ballston Lake, Lynn (significant other, Ron) McCormack, of Hitchcock, TX; Charlie (Patty) McCormack, of Ballston Lake and Beth (Ron) Puglisi, of Glenville; a sister and brother, Jane Hildenbrandt of FL and Donald Alford of Clifton Park; 10 grandchildren, Tricia Show, Nathan (Karen) Walz, Garrett (Sharon) Walz, Tyler Walz, Molly and Charlie McCormack, Tom Stangle II, James DeMasi, Kevin Puglisi and Dan (Melissa) Puglisi; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will held Wednesday evening, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
