Obituary of Eric Soennichsen

Charlton - Eric W. Soennichsen, 90, of Sweetman Rd,. died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Saratoga Hospital. Eric was born in Toledo, OH , the son of Mark and Martha Soennichsen. He was a graduate of Bay City High School in Bay City Michigan and the University of Michigan where he earned his B A and also a graduate of the Law School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marine Corps and earning the rank of First Lieutenant. He had been an attorney for the ALCO and later Western Union in Upper Saddle River, NJ. His family had lived Niskayuna for many years, where he was the Niskayuna Town Assessor and had been a member of the Niskayuna Rotary. Eric will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and loving father. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Peare Soennichsen, she died in 2014 and their son Robert Eric Soennichsen. He is survived by their son Mark Peare Soennichsen of Charlton. Funeral service, Thursday afternoon 2:00 at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St,. Schenectady. A calling hour will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home. Interment, Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
