Obituary of J. Douglas Pyle

Punta Gorda, FL - J. Douglas Pyle, 52, of Oakwood, Ct., died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Bayfront Health. Doug was born in Schenectady, the son of John Jr. "Jack" and Eloise Pyle. He was a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and had attended Schenectady County Community College. He moved to Florida several years ago. Doug was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for MTI in Englewood, FL. Doug enjoyed cooking, baking, shooting, and a favorite pastime was when he built race car engines. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Pauline Pyle; two stepchildren, Elizabeth and Christopher Jackson; his sister, Barbara Shipman of Barre, VT; four grandchildren; and two nieces. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment, Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
