Robert John MacFarlane, 75, of Burnt Hills passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Saratoga Hospital. Born on September 4, 1939 in Rexford, New York to Robert and Grace MacFarlane. He had two sisters Sue Smith of Spring Hill, FA and Eugenie MacFarlane of Colonie, NY. He attended Oneida School and graduated in the last class of Nott Terrace High School; he then attended and graduated from Paul Smith's College and shortly thereafter married, Mary Jane MacFarlane, with whom he was married for 55 years and they were blessed with three children, Robert Todd MacFarlane of Clifton Park; Heather Finley of Dallas, Georgia and William MacFarlane of Edwards, Colorado. They also have six grandchildren. In 1968, Bob worked for C. T. Male Associates as a project manager; he then set up his own Land Surveying Office in Ballston Spa with Mary Jane as his secretary from 1970-2014. A celebration of life gathering will be held this Sunday, July 19 from 1-3:00 p.m. at The Pig 'N Whistle at the Grove located in Burnt Hills.
