Glenville - Allan 'Al' Glynn, 69, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016, at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. Born in the Bronx, Al worked at the Statue of Liberty for the US Park Service for many years and later retired as a Senior Investigator for US Investigations Services. He was a US Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. Al was a devoted husband and father, and a beloved grandfather. He was known to all of his family and friends for his kind heart and generous spirit. Al was also an avid music lover, especially Bob Dylan and Simon and Garfunkel. He was the husband of the late Cathy Wolf Glynn and was also predeceased by his sister, Joyce Moch. Survivors include his daughter, Erin Glynn Arendt (Timothy Arendt); two grandsons, Shamus and Declan Arendt and his sister, Gail Vopelak. Al is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and extended family members. Funeral services will be Friday at 8:45 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home on 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. Interment will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
