I am so sorry and shocked to hear of Joan's passing. We would have small conversations about many different subjects when I was there to cut her lawn. I had no idea until her mailman informed me that something may have happened. I looked it up online and saw the obituary. I'm sorry I didn't know sooner. I will miss talking with her each time I cut her lawn, but will always have the memories. I will be making a donation in her name to City Mission, as my wife and I also regularly donate to. It is a good organization. My heart goes out to everyone who knew Joan, especially her children, their spouses and any of Joan's siblings and grandchildren. I know she will be greatly missed. This past fall when I was doing Joan's fall cleanup I saw Jennifer, and she asked how my wife was who at the time recently had knee replacement surgery I said she was doing good and Jennifer mentioned to me that she was a strong woman, and made reference to her mom, and she said just like my mom is a strong woman. That will always be in my mind. My prayers for the family of Joan, that like her will keep strong, and know that she truly is in a better place.
