I will always remember Marianne's devotion to John and her children. When she and John would walk up to receive communion together at the Saturday night liturgy, it was a testimony to me and to many others of answered prayer. I was moved and touched every week, because I know how long she prayed and how much it meant to have John there at mass with her. I remember the night John saw the St Vincent De Paul Food Pantry Collection low or empty in the GW Brucker Parish Center foyer and he went right up to the microphone on the altar to exhort everyone to contribute. "If everyone just brought in a can of peas, it would make a difference" he said. He often asked me if I was working and how things were going, and that he'd prayed for me. John was a memorable saint, and I will never forget him. God bless to Marianne, Andy, Mary and the kids, to John and his family, and to Mark. Now I can ask your Dad to intercede in prayer. You are all in my prayers- Glory to God-Francine Grinnell
