I just learned of John's passing this afternoon while shopping at Home Depot where I used to work too. I had the privilege of completely remodeling his bathroom years ago & he hauled a few tons of tile & concrete including the cast iron bathtub afte I smashed it with a sledgehammer. John never showed his age despite being old enough to be my Dad. He always brightened my day whenever I saw him. It was an honor & a privilege to know him. Linda, you & John's family have my sincere condolences. Glad he got to enjoy some quality time after leaving Home Depot. I will miss him a great deal. He Possessed a kind heart & a beautiful soul.
With sympathy,
Haytham Bajouwa

Linda, I am so sorry to learn about John. I don’t need to tell you what a great guy he was. John and I hit many golf balls together and played occasionally. He was always ready to engage in conversations, always with a smile and a friendly word. He was just so easy to like. His presence will be missed. May the peace that only God can give comfort you at this time. I regret I’m still in Florida and can’t be home to tell you this in person.

Dear Linda,
Please accept my deepest condolences for the death of your beloved John. I can't believe that I talked with both of you a week ago at the club and how thrilled I was to see the two of you back and headed over to the driving range. I've noticed during the course of my years at SRCC how close the two of you were. It was enriching to see the two of you together as companions and tending to each others needs. I know John told me once that the two of you were kind of bound to the Capital District in the winter due to the fact you were caring for your mother.
Treasure those memories and the time you had with John, because not everyone is privileged to experience all that your relationship with John brought you.
With a heavy heart,
Pete
