Obituary of John F. Lusk, Jr.
John F. Lusk, Jr, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 17, 2018.
John was born in Schenectady on January 4, 1942, he was the son of Lena and John F. Lusk, Sr. and was a graduate of Linton High School. He served in the Army as a missile specialist stationed in Greenland and California. Then after 30 years of service as Manager of Printing and Graphics
at St. Clare's Hospital.
He enjoyed playing golf with all his friends at Shaker Ridge Gold Club and Myrtle Beach. He and Linda loved the many golf trips and wonderful memories shared with the " Vermont Couples" (you know who you are ! ) and the time spent with family and friends during the holidays. John looked forward to playing in the Brodie Miller Golf Tournament. He also looked forward to Tuesday telephone calls with bud Tommy discussing golf or the state of their favorite teams, the Yankees and Giants, In his younger days, he enjoyed bowling, softball and hunting with his brother Tom. During the past year, John and Linda traveled extensively. It was a time to spend precious moments with each other and with their many friends in Myrtle Beach and Florida. John was able to start a conversation with anyone. He had beautiful blue eyes and a smile that reflected his warm and loving heart and his great sense of humor. He was a caregiver who loved his family and who was always willing to help a friend. John will forever be in out hearts.
John is survived by his loving companion, Linda Cawley; his brother Tom (Bea) Lusk and sister Linda Keyser and nieces Luella Lusk Baling and Lori Lusk.
Funeral service Monday morning 11:00 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc. 242 McClellan St, Schenectady. Calling hours Sunday evening 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
