Karen DeSalvatore of Charlton passed away suddenly on January 26th after a brief illness. She was 56 years old. Karen is survived by her parents, Armand and Florence DeSalvatore of The Villages, Florida, her brother David and his wife Kristen of Clifton Park, Aunt Norma Flicker of Rotterdam, Godmother Alma Pecora of Glenville, late Grandparents Lewis and Mary DeSalvatore and Dominick and Josephine Leone, late Uncle John DeSalvatore, two nephews, a niece, and many cousins, extended family and friends. Karen worked for 34 years at the Glendale Nursing Home in Glenville as a nurse. Karen did so much for other people, especially the residents at Glendale. She had a special way of making people smile while she took care of them. Karen was loved by many and will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 8:15 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, 9:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Cyril's Cemetery, Rotterdam.
