Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John "Jack" M. Wrenn 72, of Halfmoon, passed away on November 15, 2022, surrounded by his family. Jack was born and raised in Astoria, NY. on September 15, 1950. He graduated from Manhattan College and moved upstate to start his career at Ellis Hospital as Head of Admitting and met the light and love of his life, Brenda. Jack married Brenda and had two children, Meaghan and Brendan. Jack and Brenda planted roots in Colonie, where he was an active member of St. Clare's Church. Jack loved coaching and supporting both children's extracurricular activities. He spent the later part of his career working for the Department of Health but his greatest joy was being "Papa" to his three beautiful grandchildren. Jack loved the Yankees, and anything baseball, he was our Mr. Yankee. Jack knew all baseball trivia and was a wealth of knowledge, lending an answer to his wife's crossword puzzle dilemmas. Jack was the best storyteller and loved his family more than life itself. Jack is survived by his wife, Brenda Wrenn; daughter Meaghan White (Ed); son Brendan Wrenn (Kerry); grandchildren, Henry, Charlotte and Maxwell; and brother, Patrick Wrenn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Elizabeth Wrenn. Calling hours will be held at Daly Funeral Home on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Interment will be Tuesday in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery with family and close friends Jack asks that any and all memorial donations be made to Catholic Charities, 40 N. Main Ave., Third Floor, Albany NY 12203.
