My memory of Bobby goes back a lifetime and is a blend of all the interactions of a child, but a memory I remember in particular was his frequent offering to buy my hair braids. He would pick up a braid, examine it, count the turns, and offer me a sum. I never took him up on the offer, but we laughed.
He hung out with my brother Jake and they would do boy things together. One day they brought in a squirrel that they had shot and handed me the dead thing challenging me to cook it. I got out the Joy of Cooking and learned how to skin and gut a small animal. I remember cooking it with onions and tasting it - not sure if the boys ate it though.
I have wonderful memories of Bobby. May he rest in peace.

Nancy, Janey, Johnny and Sandy,
Praying for each of you with the sudden departure of your husband and father. Also for all of Bob's family and friends. I remember Uncle Bob took me on my first hunting trip, he kept the guns safe and the shooting fun, target practice first. When in the woods he pointed out a rabbit and assured me, though not a deer, was open for hunting. When I purposely shot over it's head- we both knew hunting and guns weren't for me, we laughed and he said he'd have missed on purpose too- that's why he told me to shoot. Uncle Bob laughed, joked, shared both good and bad times with me, he guided and didn't push too hard. Bob was a good uncle, a pretty good boss and a true friend. Our heavy loss is Heaven's gain.
With love, Condolences and peaceful rest.

Nancy, Jane, John & Sandy,
There are no words to describe how broken hearted I am for your loss. I wish I could take away your pain. May you find comfort in all the beautiful memories you’ve shared. Such a big part of my childhood was being at Brant Lake. So many summers spent with family waterskiing, boating, campfires. I remember the first time we went and we were arguing about having a curfew, Bob stuck his head out the window of the cabin and started singing a made up song about kids needing a vacation too! He was funny and kind. A great example of what a husband and father should be. I feel blessed to have been able to call him my uncle.

I was lucky to have gotten the chance to spend time with Bob on a handful of occasions, including at Brant Lake. It was enough to leave me with memories of Bob's way of making everyone feel welcome and spreading joy through his company and conversation. Sending my love to everyone, and wishing you peace and comfort in this incredibly difficult time.

Nancy, Jane, John and Sandy, My heart goes out to you at this sad time. Bob was my brother-in-law, but so much more than that. He was funny, kind, generous, and loved by many. When I got bored with being retired, I asked him to hire me at the liquor store and he did. One of the funniest memories I have of him is when he dyed his hair because the clerk at McDonald's was going to give him the senior discount. I always enjoyed being with him and your family at Holiday dinners and at Brant Lake. I will miss him, but will always remember him with love. May he rest in peace. Love to you all, Pat

Jane, Nancy and family. So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was the funniest, sweetest, and loyal guy. He loved his family unconditionally. I enjoyed many years with him at the store as his sales rep for Eber Brothers Wine & Liquor as well as Opici Family Distributing. We shared many laughs and stories. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. God Bless - Melanie Largeteau
