Bob was the nicest man to have as a neighbor and friend. His jokes kept my children coming back for more. What a teacher Bob must have made. He had all the neighborhood kids in his back pocket. He gave of his time for coaching way beyond others. We will miss him. Our love to all his family Betsy and Roy

Our family was so sorry to hear of the passing of our favorite teacher, Mr. Goodwin. He taught two generations of us. He made learning so much fun for me (class of 1964), installed confidence in my oldest son, Jeff (class of 1983) & then fun for my younger son, Dan (class of 1987). He always had a smile on his face & a cheerful hello for everyone. He will be sorely missed, but always remembered.

My condolences to the Goodwin Family. I remember Mr. Goodwin well from when I as a Draper student. I had Mr Drago in 5th grade and Mr. Goodwin had another 5th grade class. We used to get jealous when he took his class outside for kickball in the afternoons after having a good day in class and we were stuck inside. He was a wonderful supporter of Draper athletics. I remember he always was at the athletic events, especially basketball games and had kind and supportive words for us. He was fun to be around and a wonderful teacher. I will remember him always. Rob: Class of 1966.

To my favorite teacher of all. Teaching us in your unconventional ways, finding the way to make us get it, in school and in life. I will remember days of bringing you Mr. Goodbars candy to class even when I was a senior, kickball games and you using my pigtails as handlebars and revving them like a motorcycle. Fond memories and greater lessons learned. We will all miss you.

Mr. "G", a favorite teacher of so many young people, made each of us, his students, feel important and special, evident as so many HS students continued to visit his classroom. He taught us to be independent thinkers and learners, team players, and good citizens. Above all, Mr. Goodwin taught with an extraordinary sense of humor that radiated his enthusiasm for education. As an educator myself, I greatly appreciate the gifts he shared. He will be missed but his lessons live on in the many lives he touched. My deepest sympathy to his entire family and the many friends he surely treasured.
