Connie was a wonderful cousin to grow up with. She was only a week and a day younger than me so we came into the world at almost the same time. She had 2 sisters and I had 2 brothers that also had close birthdays so we had parrallel familes too except that we added a sister on our side. The seven of us were fortunate enough to get to spend some time with each other every year as we grew up and we all enjoyed those times together. I can never think of a time that all of us weren't happy to be together. Connie was a smile to remember and as good a person as anyone could ask for to know and love. She was always there for her Mom and her sisters and had a loving marriage to her husband Dick. The last time I got to see her was at a wonderful family reunion in Williamsburg, VA,8 years ago. It was so good to get to spend time with her and her family again. When I heard she had cancer, it was a shock because I lost my late wife Pat to cancer 8 years ago and I knew what she was going through and what her family would be facing. Thankfully they are a close and strong family and were with her when she needed them. God bless her and them for that. Rest in peace dear cousin in the life that awaits us beyond this one.
