Obituary of Cornelia Bailey

Cornelia "Connie" Dwyer Bailey, 62, of Hendrickson Ave., died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at home after a short illness. Connie was born in New York City, the daughter of Cornelius and Eugenie Dwyer. She moved to Schenectady as a child and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. She was also a graduate of the State University at Oneonta and earned two master's degrees from the State University of Albany in education and library science. Mrs. Bailey was a teacher librarian for the Schenectady City School District for many years, retiring in 2005. Connie is survived by her husband of 28 years, Richard G. Bailey. She is also survived by her mother, Eugenie Dwyer of Niskayuna; two sisters, Judy Dwyer of Santa Fe, NM, and Nancy Dwyer of Burlington, VT; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Deborah Bailey and their children, Kristin, Laura, and Matthew. Calling hours, Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, with remembrances at 6:30. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
