To Jack and Family; I first met Lyle when we were in kindergarten at Howe School- a long time ago. We spent many days on the playground there and many times he would bring me home and your mother would lovingly feed us lunch. His life touched many and I will never forget him. May God Bless your family. Pete Sherman

Lyle and I shared a bus stop and a graduating class for high school. I remember clearly those shared crisp mornings. Rest peacefully Lyle.

Though I always went too long between visits to see him, I can truly say Lyle was the best friend I ever had. The first day I went to work at the Edison Club as a 16 year old he asked me my birthday. For the next 40 years I got a birthday card on time every time. At Christmas his was always the first card I received. He visited me when I went to college in Oneonta, he came to our garage sales when Cindy and I were a young married couple and we visited from time to time thereafter. The best part about Lyle was that no matter how long between visits he picked up as if it had been yesterday, and he forgot nothing. In recent years I tried to send him things like golf course scorecards and books I thought he would like. Lyle was a remarkable man in every way and I will miss him greatly. My condolences to his family. The world is a better place because of Lyle.

To members of the Pudney Family: Lyle, like myself, was a member of the Bishop Gibbons High School Class of 1964. I also received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena College in 1969. We were friends in high school and continued to "keep in touch" annually with Christmas cards. Unfortunately, we lost contact with each other perhaps about the time that he left his Niskayuna home which, if my recall is correct, was at 2040 Hoover Road. I wish that I did not have a scheduling conflict on this upcoming Friday, May 20th. Otherwise, I would have planned to be at the Mass of Christian Burial in Rotterdam Junction. Please do accept my sincere condolence. Respectfully, Ron Ratchford
