Obituary of Lyle Pudney

Lyle Merton Pudney, 65, died Thursday, May 12 at the Glendale Nursing Home following a long illness. He was the middle son of Gertrude and Earle Pudney. Lyle attended Schenectady schools and graduated from Siena College in 1969. For several years Lyle worked at the Edison Golf Club in Rexford as a grounds crew member. He was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Schenectady. He is survived by his two older brothers, Paul (Lainey) of Longs, South Carolina, and Jack (Beth) of Ballston Lake, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Friday morning, May 20th, at 11 o'clock at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 2 Putnam St., Rotterdam Junction, NY. Following the Mass, friends and family will gather in the parish hall for refreshments and remembrances. Lyle will be interred in the family burial plot at New Forest Cemetery in Utica, NY. Over the past 12 years Lyle endeared himself to many of the staff and residents at Glendale Nursing Home. Lyle's family wishes to express its profound gratitude to the staff, the fellow residents, and to volunteers at the Glendale Nursing Home who supported our brother and uncle so faithfully over the past 12 years.
