Obituary of Nina Bielecki

Nina Bielecki, 93, of Oakwood Blvd., Poughkeepsie, formerly of Halsey Dr. and Van Antwerp Village, died Sunday at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie. Nina had been residing with her daughter, Barbara and husband, Conrad Thitchener. Nina was born in Montreal, Canada, and moved to Schenectady as a child. She was a graduate of Schenectady High School. She had worked for the General Electric Co. for 40 years as an executive secretary, retiring in 1974. She had been a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church since the church was built and was a member of the choir. Nina was predeceased by her husband, Alexander T. Bielecki, who died in 1999, and her son, Bruce A. Bielecki, who died in 2005. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Conrad) Thitchener of Poughkeepsie and Brenda Cushman of Dulth, GA; 10 grandchildren, Deborah, Kimberly, Bryce, Jennifer, Breanna, Andrea, Christopher, Jason, Joshua and Sean, and eight great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
