Obituary of Stephen Bobik

Delmar - Stephen K. Bobik passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 after a long illness.
Born in Schenectady, Stephen attended Mohonasen and Linton High Schools, Hudson Valley Community College and went on to receive his master's degree from Union College. After residing for many years in Rotterdam, he lived in Castleton-on-Hudson and then Stephentown, NY.
He was employed as a mechanical engineer at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory for many years, retiring in 2006. Stephen was an avid fisherman and hunter, founder and president of the Knolls Fishing Club at KAPL. He was also an accomplished cross-country runner, awarded for his achievements in high school, at Hudson Valley and numerous marathons.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; daughter, Patricia Sezna and her husband, Steven,of Los Angeles, CA;
sister, Suzanne Whelan and her husband, Charles of Ocala, FL; grandsons, Christopher Bobik and Randall Bobik, both of Rotterdam; as well as several aunts, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen M. Bobik.
Funeral service will be held Monday morning ,11:00 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment
in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
