Obituary of John Huggins

Niskayuna - John Duhaney Huggins , 68 of Winne Rd. died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at home. John was born in New York City, the son of John and Elsie Duhaney Huggins. He was a graduate of Niskayuna High School. John worked for New York State, starting at DMV and retiring from OFT, after many years service. He was a volunteer fireman with the Niskayuna Fire Department District 2 ,for over 20 years, earning the rank of First Lieutenant. He also had held several offices for the association and was a past President. He is survived by his daughter Pennie (Yamel) Cuevas, a brother Harold(Nelda) Huggins, friend and former wife Lucinda Huggins, grandsons Jeremy and Saul and cousins Michelle Duhaney and Valerie and Regina Scott. Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday afternoon, January 10, 2015 at Pennie's home,13 Talon Dr., Niskayuna, from 1 to 3 p.m. Interment, Niskayuna Reformed Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
