Many years ago when Harvey's mother passed, she bequeathed a beautiful diamond ring to me. It must have been 20 years after I received the ring, that my aunt began to nudge me to give it to Harvey, so that he could give it to his daughter and her granddaughter, Elayne. A little time had gone since her initial contact when the nudge had turned into a nag. Not sure how to handle this, I decided I'd send Harvey a letter explaining his mother's contact. His only response was "oh, she's contacting you, too? The ring was sent out the next day - the last day my aunt communicated with me.
There is little doubt that the two of them are up there, enjoying each other's company. I would hope they would give us a "nudge" to let us know that all is well.
Emily, Elayne, Jeff and Greg. Harvey was a man of great character. His sense of humor brought a smile from all that knew him. His love of family was second to none. Your loss will weigh heavily, but the memories you all shared will fill your hearts with love, and will eventually put a smile on your face when you think about him.
Harvey, rest in peace!
